Katana is the cheapest serious answer on this page to a common small manufacturer symptom: purchase orders raised by hand when someone notices the shelf is empty. The pricing page offers personalised AI replenishment recommendations, and Katana MCP connects the system to Claude or ChatGPT so a person can ask about stock, sales orders, production and suppliers and then create purchase orders, sales orders, manufacturing orders and stock transfers by asking. The vendor says the AI confirms before it acts. Core starts at $299 a month. With the $199 manufacturing management add-on for routings, that is $5,976 a year by our arithmetic.

What customers praise

QuickBooks Online, Xero, Shopify, Amazon and HubSpot are named. The Free plan gives every feature and add-on for up to 30 SKUs with no card. Found Surface is named with more than $40,000 of recovered inventory, a vendor claim.

What customers criticise

It is built around inventory and sales channels, so an engineer to order job shop quoting from drawings is better served higher up this list. The pricing page gives two customer counts, 1,500+ in one place and 1,600 in another. The MCP page says more AI clients are coming soon, and only the account owner can connect it. Whether AI replenishment carries its own price could not be read from the page layout.

Best for

A small manufacturer or brand that makes its own product, sells through Shopify or Amazon, keeps its books in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and reorders materials from a spreadsheet and memory.
